Trooper Joshua Farmer was called to investigate a single vehicle crash on I-93 southbound near exit 14 in Cocord, NH, on Sunday Dec 11. around 6:00 p.m., New Hampshire State Police report.

While on the scene, a 2022 Nissan Rouge smashed into the back of Farmer's fully-marked cruiser while Farmer sat in the driver's seat. The driver of the aptly-named Rogue was identified as 31-year-old Ranince Lai, of Dorchester, MA, according to police.

Lai apparently lost control of the Rogue before crashing into the cruiser, and was determined to be at fault for the crash. Lai was charged with negligent driving, police said.

Lai was uninjured, but Farmer was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
